Currently Obsessed With: Headbands

headbands

I’ve recently become infatuated with headbands, from simple bands to full-out hat hybrids. They bring an unexpected punch and dose of glamour to an outfit that a necklace or earrings just can’t. While I was looking around on one of my favorite online stores (here secured payday loans), I discovered that they have an incredible selection of hair toppers (although some from their bridal collection are a bit on the pricey side). I’ve now become inspired to start my own collection of headbands – here are a few I’m hoping to add to my stash.

1. Ruche Sabrina Fabric Bow Headband by Petit Plume $22.50

2. Ruche Kiana Swarovski Beaded Headband by Petit Plume $33.99

3. ban.do ban.do heart headband $35

4. Deepa Gurnami Emerald Stone Applique Headband $32

5. Forever 21 Pearlescent Chain Rosette Headwrap $3.80

6. Ruche Blushing Bride Headband $46.99

7. Ruche Cheerful Certainty Ivory Headband $46.99

8. Ruche Bristol Flower Lace Indie Headband by Petit Plume $16.99

Trend Spotting: Neo-Baroque

neo-baroque

This fall, neo-baroque is one of the reigning trends: richly embroidered clothing, beaded clutches and pill-box purses, delicate gilded filigree jewelry, gold-accented heels and slippers, brocade and floral everything – all in shades of black, gold, cream, silver and dark red. Most examples given in magazines are fresh off the runway, with the prices to match – so I found some baroque-inspired pieces, most of which are very affordable.

The Essential…

blazer

Blazer

Lately, I’ve been a bit obsessed with blazers and jackets, but I think I’ve found a winner. This blazer has it all – two nice, roomy pockets, a single button, and a sleek silhouette in a true, solid black. The fabric (a poly blend) is somehow light and warm at the same time. The classic cut allows it to pair with everything, from a t-shirt (like I did here secured payday loans) to a dress. The fact that the full-length sleeves can be rolled up to create a more casual look is an added bonus. A nice blazer is a year-round must-have, and this one fits the bill by my standards. And the price? A mere $24.95!

Double Denim

Forever 21 Shirt, Old Navy Tank, New York & Company Jeans, Boots from DSW, Vintage Necklace

I used to think that wearing denim with denim was the ultimate fashion crime – but when the two washes are as different as these, it’s perfectly acceptable (and très chic). The white tank helps to break up the monochromatic color scheme.

Currently Obsessed With: Statement Necklaces

Like I said in this post, I love statement jewelry. While I was doing some “research” (that is, finding things I want online), I found tons of great statement necklaces for fall – I definitely can’t wait to get my hands on these!

This one is edgy and streamlined, making it the perfect addition to a plain top.

Delicate yet impactful – this would pair nicely with blush or navy and simple gold ball earrings.

This soft fabric bib is a cross between a necklace and a collar. It would really pop against a lighter background of camel or white.

The monochromatic palette keeps this large necklace from being crazy.

This draped, gold chain necklace is slightly Grecian, slightly Victorian – and totally classic.
