With the start of fall comes a new season of fashion – new trends, styles, colors, as well as the return of our favorite sweaters from the recesses of our closets. This season, I’m looking forward to neutral colors and thick layers. I’ve compiled a guide to my must-haves for the season – so take a look and start stocking up!

Tops & Blouses:

–Chambray Shirt

–White/Cream Lacy Blouse

–Patterned/Colored Button-Up Blouse

–Blouse (or dress) with a Peter Pan Collar

Sweaters:

–Slouchy Pullover Sweater – gray, navy and camel are my favorites

–Chunky Knit Sweater – winter white is always nice, but any neutral color will do

–Something Cable-Knit

Blazers & Jackets

–Black or Navy Blazer

–Bomber Jacket

Dresses:

–Dress (or blouse) with a Peter Pan Collar

–Polka Dot Dress – Sleeveless/Short Sleeved is better for layering

–Lace Dress

–Sweater Dress – jewel toned

–At least one Drop-Waisted Dress – can combine with any of the above

Skirts:

–High-Waisted Skirt – preferably in a neutral color

–Patterned Skirt

Pants:

–Cords in Burgundy or Brown

–Black Jeans

–Cigarette Jeans – Any Wash

–Dark-Wash Skinnies

Shoes:

–At least 3 pairs of boots – ankle, mid-calf and knee-high

–Black Leather Lace-Up Boots – can have a heel

–Oxfords in any color

–Any pair of black or gray shoes

Accessories & Jewelry

–Sparkly Statement Necklace

–Statement Earrings

–Thin Leather Bracelets

–Gold Bangles
