White/Orange

How adorable are these tea light holders? I could see these little guys in a cluster on a coffee table or used as an accent in a bedroom or home office. They’re clean and modern enough to fit into plenty of room decors and surprisingly cheap (pun not intended, but pleasantly surprising) – not to mention, perfect for the coming spring weather.

Cheese Crackers

crackers 1Cheese is something I absolutely love and will never, ever get enough of. In my family, it’s its own food group. So naturally, artificial cheese has never been something I’ve bent over backwards for, but Goldfish and Cheez-Its are just about the only kinds of junk food I like. After seeing this recipe on Cupcakes and Cashmere, I thought I’d give it a shot. I’ve made something like these crackers before, but these ones were somehow so much better. They were simultaneously tender and crispy, and weren’t too salty or greasy. Not to mention, the whole process took less than an hour (I skipped the refrigerating step and the dough was fine) and was so simple. I’ll definitely be making these in the future.

Channeling Audrey

Macy’s Dress (similar here), Ann Marino Shoes via DSW, Vintage Necklace (similar here), Vintage Purse

As mentioned earlier, I celebrated Valentine’s Day (kind of) with brunch last Sunday. I don’t go out to brunch as often as I’d like, so it’s a special occasion – justifying my decision to wear this black lace dress. It reminds me of something that Audrey Hepburn would wear (I actually wore this dress for Halloween – I was, guess who? Audrey), so I topped it off with a strand of pearls (knotted, of course) to complete the look.

P.S. You’ve probably noticed that the site looks different – I was encountering technical difficulties continuously, plus I thought it was a good time for change, so the site was revamped a bit. I made some tiny polishes (changing buttons, fixing permalinks) and bigger changes (editing the ‘about’ page and adding ‘manifesto’). I also set up an RSS feed, so be sure to subscribe!

Showcase: Kate Spade for Keds

kate spade x keds

All, Kate Spade x Keds

If you’ve been reading this blog for awhile now, you know that I’m kind of obsessed with Kate Spade. I’m officially convinced that they can do no wrong, as evidenced here by their 20th anniversary Keds collection: I’ve never been one much for Keds, or any kind of sneakers, for that matter, but the magicians over at Kate Spade have created eight pairs of ridiculously adorable sneakers that I’m dying to get my hands on for spring. In true quirky Kate Spade fashion, two of the pairs (with paint-dipped toes) feature idioms printed on the sides – much like their idiom bangles. (The blue pair says “Take the road less traveled” while the pink pair reads “Kick up your heels”) The shoes can be bought at keds.com and nordstrom.com and in Kate Spade and Nordstrom stores. Gingham, dotted, paint-dipped, chevron and polka dotted styles are $75 and pink and striped pairs are $85 – quite the steal for Kate Spade. I myself am particularly infatuated by the chevron and black polka dotted pairs – which ones do you like best?
