Wanted: Toile Dress

ASOS Dress

Toile is something I’d never thought of as being used on a dress. That is, until I saw this – and now I’m kind of obsessed. Besides having a fabulous nature-inspired toile print, it looks super easy to wear – just throw it on with some delicate chain necklaces and wedge sandals, and you’re ready for just about any occasion. Plus, it could totally work in early fall with some tights and leather boots.

Vintage French Breakfast Puffs

breakfastpuff10

I’m always looking for new breakfast foods – pancakes and waffles are good, but tend to get boring quickly, and my staple (eggs benedict) is not something you should consume regularly. So when I came across this recipe on Pinterest and saw how simple and unique it was, I made it right away. These are so simple and delicious – kind of like a donut-muffin-coffeecake hybrid. Their light, cinnamon-y flavor and fluffy texture make them the ideal match for a cup of coffee.

Currently Obsessed With: Colorblocking

Colorblocking has to be one of my favorite recurring trends for spring. I tend to wear dark and neutral colors through the fall and winter (you probably noticed that if you were reading then), so by the time spring comes I’m ready to pile on all the colors I can get my hands on. I’m in the market this year for some more brightly colored accessories – I love this bracelet an unnatural amount – because right now I have just about none. What are your favorite trends for spring?
