It’s in the Bag

In the past few years, I’ve discovered I’m not big on big purses – I much prefer smaller satchels and clutches. Crazily, I never pack that much in my purse – my wallet, phone, earbuds, lip balm, a mirror, some tissues and hand sanitizer are my essentials – so I don’t feel the need to pack a big bag. I’ve also found that I like having something small I can tuck under my arm for when I’m perusing cramped antique stores that doesn’t tend to swing around like a shoulder bag. Because of this discovery, I’ve decided it’s time for me to start looking for some more small purses and clutches to add to my collection –  I’ve rounded up some of my favorites above. What kind of purse do you like best?

Summer Essential

Square/Cat Eye/Retro/Wayfarer/Aviator/Round

Sunglasses are the quintessential summer accessory, but I’m a little ashamed to say that I don’t have many pairs. At all. It’s not that I have anything against them, it’s that I always make the mistake of looking at rack after rack of sunglasses, and soon enough they all end up looking pretty much the same. So I’ve compiled a list of my six favorite shade styles, from cat eye to aviator to the ever-popular wayfarer. I’m partial to the sleek retro pair – which kind is your favorite?

Colorblocked/Polka Dots/Line

I’m in the market for a new iPhone case – while I love my Kate Spade one, it’s nearing its first birthday and its age is showing. While I love Kate’s cases, they’re beginning to stop making new ones for the 4S. Just in time, I found these three by Julia Kostreva through designlovefest – and I’m kind of in love. They’re just about the same price as other designer phone cases, and their clean, colorful designs make them even more irresistible. I’m thinking colorblocked for myself – which is your favorite?

Wanted: C. Wonder Clutch

c. wonder clutchc. wonder clutch 2

I’ve recently become a fan of C. Wonder – I love the bright colors, fresh patterns and classic silhouettes that they have to offer. Their prices, like J. Crew’s, however, are a bit more than I can afford on a regular basis. So, I was blown away when I fell in love with this clutch and saw it was on sale for a mere $30. I’m thinking I’ll have to snatch one up and start sprinkling some C. Wonder into my closet.
