I’d never actually given maxi dresses too much thought before this year. I associated them with Californians and celebrities (and I’m neither, if you hadn’t guessed), and I had always just assumed that they wouldn’t look very good on me. I then happened to try on a gorgeous chiffon peach one while out shopping and was totally obsessed. I didn’t buy it for some reason or another, but I’ve been on the search for the perfect maxi dress ever since. I’m currently eyeing this one in black stripe – I think the green accent is what reminds me of this dress that I’m completely in love with (but is sadly a little more than I can afford to spend at the moment).

Currently Obsessed With: Cardigans and Sweaters

Cardigans and pullovers have never really done it for me. I’m always afraid I’ll buy a cute patterned cardigan and never wear it, and I tend to feel awkward when I wear a pullover over another top. But at this transitional time of year, a light sweater would be perfect to throw on when it gets chilly, so I took a look around for some cardigans and pullovers I could work into my wardrobe. I’d be willing to give any of these a try.

Currently Obsessed With: Colorblocking

Colorblocking has to be one of my favorite recurring trends for spring. I tend to wear dark and neutral colors through the fall and winter (you probably noticed that if you were reading then), so by the time spring comes I’m ready to pile on all the colors I can get my hands on. I’m in the market this year for some more brightly colored accessories – I love this bracelet an unnatural amount – because right now I have just about none. What are your favorite trends for spring?
