I wore this outfit on my birthday last month, and it’s probably one of my favorites for summer. When I first got these shorts, I was a bit nervous because they were my first patterned pair, but they’re actually one of the most versatile pieces in my closet!

I have more white dresses than any person should. It wasn’t in heavy rotation until I put it on the other day and fell in love with it again – it’s comfortable, versatile and flattering. This dress is longer than most others I have, but I feel like that adds to the whole breezy, summery, no-makeup and loose hair feel of it when it’s worn with gold sandals.

Forever 21 pullover sweater, Coldwater Creek tank, Guess shorts (old), TOMS shoes (watch was a gift)
For whatever reason, I was cold this morning when I woke up, so I threw on this nice, light sweater, figuring I’d get warmer as the day went on. I added my wonderfully comfortable (and unfortunately dirty) TOMS for a neccessary pop of color.

Today’s outfit was composed of some new things I got on my annual birthday shopping spree. I love this dress because it’s really light and soft even though it’s lace. Plus, I’m obsesssed with my chambray shirt – it’s super comfortable and light enough to wear in the summer with the sleeves rolled up. I forsee it being really versatile in the fall and winter months, too.
