Showcase: Joe Fresh at JCP

All, Joe Fresh at JCP

The Canadian chain Joe Fresh has been a long time obsession of mine. Sadly, though, their only stores were located in New York City – until now. A few weeks ago, I saw a commercial for JCP announcing that they now carry Joe Fresh as a brand and I nearly screamed. That’s right, it’s not a limited edition collection – it’s here to stay. Now everyone can access their clean, modern silhouettes, bold colors and patterns, and perfect silk basics at super-affordable, H&M-esq prices at their local jcpenney. I stopped by last weekend and picked up the first of many things I hope to purchase from Joe Fresh. Here are some of my favorites from the current spring collection.

Showcase: Kate Spade Saturday

All, Kate Spade Saturday

And with this edition of Showcase comes another batch of Kate Spade goodies. For those of you who don’t know, Kate Spade is launching another brand this March (the 2nd, to be exact) called Saturday – designed to make you feel like it’s Saturday every day. The prices are lower but there’s no less style – the same bright colors, fun prints and cute details are all to be found in their new line. The collection also offers an impressive selection of home and office goods, from playing cards to pencils. This spring’s collection has recurring zig-zag and colorful abstract prints, and the color yellow everywhere. For those of you who missed the pop-up shop on fab.com, have no fear: the debut of the new brand is right around the corner. The full line will launch on March 2nd at saturday.com – you can visit the site now to sign up for updates and peruse their tumblr-esq inspiration board. Above are some of my favorites from the collection.

Showcase: Kate Spade for Keds

All, Kate Spade x Keds

If you’ve been reading this blog for awhile now, you know that I’m kind of obsessed with Kate Spade. I’m officially convinced that they can do no wrong, as evidenced here by their 20th anniversary Keds collection: I’ve never been one much for Keds, or any kind of sneakers, for that matter, but the magicians over at Kate Spade have created eight pairs of ridiculously adorable sneakers that I’m dying to get my hands on for spring. In true quirky Kate Spade fashion, two of the pairs (with paint-dipped toes) feature idioms printed on the sides – much like their idiom bangles. (The blue pair says “Take the road less traveled” while the pink pair reads “Kick up your heels”) The shoes can be bought at keds.com and nordstrom.com and in Kate Spade and Nordstrom stores. Gingham, dotted, paint-dipped, chevron and polka dotted styles are $75 and pink and striped pairs are $85 – quite the steal for Kate Spade. I myself am particularly infatuated by the chevron and black polka dotted pairs – which ones do you like best?

Showcase: Prabal Gurung for Target

I always anticipate the arrival of the next Target designer collaboration – I truly think they get better every time. This one is no exception. The pieces are inspired by love, so says the designer. There’s a wide variety of colors, patterns, and styles, and yet it all comes together to form a gorgeous, cohesive collection that’s totally crush-worthy. Above are my favorite looks and pieces from the collection (you can see more here in the Target Lookbook) – you can find the items in store and online starting this Sunday.

Showcase: Target-Neiman Marcus Collection

Just when we thought the famed Target designer collaborations couldn’t get any better, Target announced their holiday partnership with Neiman Marcus. It’s a well-rounded collection, featuring clothes and accessories for everyone, home décor, and gifts aplenty. These six things are my picks from the bunch, separated into two lists – things to give to friends and hostesses alike, and things to treat yourself to this holiday season (the collection goes live tomorrow).

To Give

cookie cutters

1. Band of Outsider Cookie Cutters: Probably the cutest, quirkiest, most original cookie cutters I’ve ever seen – sure to be a hit with anyone who loves to bake.

dessert plates

2. Tracy Reese Dessert Plates: Perfect for the classy hostess (they’re trimmed with 18K gold).

metallic pouches

3. Marc Jacobs Pouches: No one would be disappointed if they found this multi-funtional metallic leather clutch/cosmetic pouch under the tree. No one.

To Get

lace top

4. Lela Rose Lace Top: So gorgeous and feminine, it could easily transition from dressy to casual and pair with everything in your closet. For bonus points, pair with one of the aforementioned pouches.

studded gloves

5. Brian Atwood Studded Gloves: The classic opera glove suddenly became un-stuffy. Perfect for all black-tie events this holiday season (or for days when you just feel like playing dress-up).

piped blazer

6. Thom Browne Blazer: The most perfectly classic blazer ever. This piped wool one will take you well into the early months of spring.
