Last year, Zara made a gorgeous pair of heeled sandals – which, unfortunately, I didn’t get a chance to snap up. The other day, though, when I was browsing the internet for summer shoes, I came across an almost identical pair with an amazing price – and, in addition to neutrals, they come in other fun options like abstract floral print and neon coral. Of course, I’d love to buy a pair in every color (wishful thinking), but I think for now I’m going to stick with a neutral .

Which do you prefer? Neutrals or brights?

Black and White/Pink/Multi

I’m in desperate need of heeled sandals for spring and summer. I’ve amassed a huge collection of sandals and flip flops of all shapes, colors and sizes, and yet have somehow neglected the fact that I don’t have heels for less-casual occasions (wedges and closed-toe heels obviously don’t count). Knowing that Zara has a huge collection of fabulous and affordable shoes, I hopped over to their site to see the latest styles they had in for spring – and (of course) I wasn’t disappointed. The black and white pair is more neutral and conservative but still modern, while the bubblegum pink and multicolored options would be great to mix with pastels and brights alike or to wear as a statement on their own.

Dress

I’m trying to get back into the swing of blogging – I’ve been away for so long and I’m starting to realize just how much I miss it. I figured I’d officially start of the new year sharing my latest obsession with you: this dress. H&M has started introducing spring clothes and I couldn’t be happier with seeing loads of pastels and bright whites after living in black and grey for the last few months. This dress in particular caught my eye, and it reminds me a little of Downton Abbey (maybe I’m just getting excited over season four) – but obviously modernized with the shorter hemline. It’s that big, intricate, romantic lace yoke that gets me. I’ll admit I spent a good long time (read: an hour) deciding between black and white. I could use an LBD, but I hadn’t indulged in my white dress obsession in a while so I went for that one. I can’t wait to wear it with bare feet and dainty earrings once the weather gets warmer, but until then I’ll be content to wear it with tights and combat boots.

wanted_cocooncoatCoat

I’m in the market for a new coat (my current one is coming up on its fifth birthday, and it definitely wasn’t meant to last that long) – something big and cozy but warm and chic – you know, the perfect coat. When I first came across this one on H&M a few months back, I was entranced. The piping! The texture! The shape! I wasn’t totally sure if I would be able to pull it off, but after coming across cool street style pins like this, this and this, I was sold on the idea of a neutral, furry cocoon. It’s sitting at the top of my wish list right now. What do you think about cocoon coats?

Agenda

I love making to-do lists, but I’ve found I really only make them and stick to them if they’re on pretty paper or in a nice notebook. I also love my monthly calendar, which I use to plot everything, from projects to events to personal things I need to do. Enter the kate spade agenda: besides being from one of my favorite designers, it’s the ultimate hybrid of the two. It gives you a monthly calendar view, plus ample room for notes and lists for each day of the month, Some other nice features? There’s a section for jotting down celebrations (how kate spade!), inspiring quotes on the monthly dividers, an interior pocket, an elastic closure, and, last but not least, gorgeous cover designs (and coordinating interiors). I’m having a seriously hard time deciding between the polka dots and stripes – which is your favorite?
